"Threads of Liberty"

The Franklin County Historical Society and the Franklin County VA250 Committee have joined to offer the "Threads of Liberty" exhibit at the Franklin County Government Center to showcase period accurate clothing from the founding of Franklin County in 1786.

The exhibit features a portrait of Dr. Francis Amos and members of his family that was commissioned during the Franklin County Bicentennial of 1986 and the original clothing hand-crafted by his wife, Laquita.

The exhibit will be on display at the Franklin County Government Center through July and is available for viewing Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
